How do we get free radical
damage?
In addition to properly
nourishing our bodies on the inside, we need a powerful
antioxidant skincare system as well.
Everyday we are exposed to a
vast assortment of them from various sources, such as harmful
chemicals, pollutants from the air and water, and even the sun.
Most of these free radical generators are unavoidable with an
exception of our diets. We can say no to the toxic substances
found in processed foods and say yes to healthy choices.
Unfortunately, because of our
depleted soils, chemical fertilizers and pesticides, it’s
impossible to get all the nourishing
antioxidants that we need
from our food alone. To get enough antioxidants to keep our
bodies healthy as we age, we not only have to eat the healthiest
of foods, we have to take high quality supplements, in very high
doses, amounts that far exceed the RDA (recommended daily
allowances).
The amounts that are
recommended by the Food and Drug Administration only provide
enough of a particular nutrient to prevent a person from getting
a deficiency disease, such as rickets or scurvy. |
